Specs: Windows 7, core2 quad 6600 /8g
Have a Rosewill usb 3.0 card that works fine if 3.0 flash drives are directly plugged into the device, but when I use a 3.0 extension cable 6ft and connect my 3.0 flash drive it says this device can perform faster if plugged to a usb 3.0 device. Have switched cables and ports but still the same.
Have updated drivers. The card is powered by a molex connector plug.

Are you sure you're using a USB 3.0 cable?

✔ Best Answer
Higher standards require better cables and connectors. Shorter cables have less losses.

Yes its a usb 3.0 cable Rosewill brand . The cable works on my other computer that has native usb 3.0 on board. I guess I will try a 3ft cable and see if it works.

Many USB 3.0 cards have INTERNAL connectors. Check to see if your does. If so, connect your front USB case ports to the card. See the link below for examples.
