Urgent help will not start up

Specs: Windows 10
Had message to say needs to restart to fix drives. Went to restart..... computer shut down then restarted with black screen then briefly bios screen the back to black screen with flashing curser top left. It has been like that for ages with intermittent bleeps.
What now?

Can you describe the beeps sequence? They come in assorted combinations; each of which means something specific..

What was the exact error message you saw which prompted to restart the system?

Make and model of computer will also be useful here.

Likewise any issues prior to the present situation; starting problems, error messages etc.?

Given the other active thread by OP, the one where we warned him of a failing hard drive, I'd say the drive failed.

could be although I would expect it to still be possible to access bios at least?

But until we know beep sequence - a nd make/model of computer... we' re physhing in the dark

Beeping is hardware related but not typically hard drive unless internal short maybe.
If cannot access BIOS set up then I would look to memory or power supply first.
Beep code and make and model of machine or at least motherboard is the key here.
Unplugging the hard drive completely would eliminate that from the equation and then trying to boot into BIOS set up would give additional clues.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
