Keyboard problem. The characters are showing in reverse, as if the caplock is on when it is not pressed. Capital letters are shown when small letters are expected, $ shows when 4 is pressed and this goes for all the buttons on the keyboard.

Is it a laptop? It might be the keyboard itself.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

"When 2 is pressed it shows @, "
"When caplock is off it shows capital letters, when ; is pressed it shows :"
"$ shows when 4 is pressed and this goes for all the buttons on the keyboard."

The state of the Caps Lock key only affects the case of keys that have letters on them.

The state of the Shift key affects the case of ANY key that has upper and lower case characters available

Your Shift key is probably stuck in the down position.
