Specs: Windows Vista
I upgraded my hard drive from 250 to 500 had my hard drive cloned. Running Windows 7. When I go to computer and look at drives it only shows the amount of avalable space and total size to be what the original drive was. I should have 465G total space but only have 220G.

It looks like you cloned the disk exactly. Most cloning programs also have an option to expand the drive to fill the available space.

You have two options:

1. Use Disk Management to create a new partition using the currently unused space.

2. Use a partition resizing program (GParted is free and does the job) to expand your current partition to fill the whole disk.

(If any of these terms are unfamilar to you just Google them.)

it seems like that the partition you cloned to the new HDD is just the space you used, so it well only show as 220G, the other 245GB may become the unallocated space, open the disk management you will find that, you could use some

partition software such as partition magic or partition assistant to help you add unallocated space into your partition.
