The only place to get the BIOS update is from Toshiba & you should read what the updates "fixes" before attempting the flash to see if it's necessary or not. But 1st you need the complete model number. It's not L745-210...could it be L745-S4210?

The only thing in any of the BIOS updates regarding the battery is the 1st update (v2.00) which states "Fixed: Sanyo 12-cell battery will not charge". The original battery had 6-cells. Have you been using Sanyo 12-cell replacement batteries?

Why do you wish to upgrade the bios?

Unless you have a specific reason to upgrade the bios - best leave it as is...

Rule of thumb is "If it ain't (isn't) broke - don't fix it."

Are you following the correct procedure for updating your BIOS?

http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9...

but as per trvlr if its not broken don't fix it.

Are you using genuine batteries or those cheap unbranded ones you can get?
