UPDATE: Replaced HDD NOW WHAT??

Specs: Windows xp, 1.7
OK, to all that tried to help me fix this issue on my Dell Inspiron 8500.

First, one issue is that the Hard drive was to big for the MOBO so replace 250GB with 80 GB Western Digital, Secondly the reason it would not boot from the CD Drive was dut to the fact that the Cd was unable to physically read the CD,which was replaced at cost of $ 40.00.

So between the two issues is what was causing great dispair. Sorry if I frustrated (SP?) some of you but,Thank you for help .
