Unable to boot my PC

Specs: Windows XP, 1gb
After installed Asus PCI video card, very often I fail to boot my PC. No beep sound during system boot. No video signal. Same situation after removing the add-on video card. What can I do

"Same situation after removing the add-on video card." Do you mean that you use the onboard video then ? You said "very often"-when it does boot up, can you get into the bios ? It would be helpful if you provided more info about your computer-power supply, Mboard, ram. Is it self built ?

And is the card actually a PCI card or a PCIe card? Big difference. If it is a PCI card and you have integrated graphics on the motherboard both can work at the same time. But the integrated would remain the default display. Therefore you need to keep a monitor connected to it.

The way around that is to try disabling the integrated graphics in the BIOS screens and to choose to boot to PCI display first.

Failure to provide any hardware specs makes it necessary to guess.
