Specs: Windows XP
lost partitions, some information on bootblock lost after partition recovery. no longer boots with f-10 during bootup

You will have to contact your PC or laptop manufacturer and ask them to send you a recovery CD. I'm guessing it's an HP computer. If it is, information on how to order recovery discs from HP is here:

Why did you have to do a partition recovery? I'm guessing you never created the recovery disc set?

I had attempted to post in your newer thread and noticed it was removed, I guess because it amounted to a double posting.

I had a similar problem a few years ago and used software called PTEDIT to manually change the boot partition. I mentioned it in my # 16 here:

The example they used was a ghost image on a dell drive but PTEDIT is not specific to that example. However I'm not sure it will work with a SATA drive--if that's what you have.
