my computer is not booting up. I was able to identify the power supply as one problem. when rectified, the computer starts but many colours in vertical lines appear and does not continue to boot. cpu fan does not activate. any other thing to try.
so you are saying that your computer will boot now but the screen is showing various colors? even with the cool n quiet tech. the cpu fan should still be moving as soon as it starts up and eventually stop so id try replacing the fan on the cpu first.and also change out the connector for the power on the mobo itself. another thing does your graphic card have a 6-pin or molex on it if so make sure thats plugged in
