Safe mode, delete history and cookies, power down and wait a minute or three. Power up and see if problem gone.

✔ Best Answer
Is it an online game, no installation required? Wouldn't closing the browser end the game?
Or how about Ctrl+Alt+Del, open Task Manager, find the game on the Process list, highlight & click End Task?

I thank you all for your help.... riider I tried your fix I could find no mention of the programme anywhere, Hidde663 thank you but I'm not sure how to use your advice. Trvlr tried your hint but nothing happened. Lesson learned... no more games! I guess the game died when closed and shut down..

Thanks to all and regards.
