Specs: Windows Vista, linux, T5500,2Gb
Hello all,

Updated BIOS Toshiba Satellite A200-1AG, but model was wrong, it was PSAE6E and should be PSAECE.

So all works ok, also external USB keyboard, but using integrated keyboard some keys fails i.e:

pressing e key I get "ei"
pressing i key I get "ei"
pressing 3 key I get "38"
pressing 8 key I get "38"
pressing d key I get "d,"
pressing , key I get "d,"

I used a software to show keypresses and i all cases 2 keypreses are shown.

When I reflash/ update the correct BIOS, problem persist.

This occurs in windows also in linux OS.

What could I do, I think it is a software/ firmware BIOS error ( ¿ maybe keyboard microcontroller's code?), but I am not sure.

I read some about SLIC and MOD bios, but it is more difficult to understand to me. I don't know how and if it could be useful.

Some help may be useful.

It looks like you got an international language problem check to see if the keyboard is set to US (United States default).

No, the keyboard is well configured to spanish, it is so in windows as in linux. USB External keyboard has same config and it works ok.
So, we can discard OS software configuration ( driver, keyb cfg, etc).
