Specs: Windows 10, 4gb
I have a Toshiba X505 Laptop. The laptop powers on but it does not show anything. I can see that the light on the screen comes on and sometimes flicker a white box. Fan is running and CD Rom is spinning. I have pressed F5, F2, and F8. I cannot load in safe mode.

Things that I have tried::

Power down and restarted
Taken battery out and power on with AC cord
Clean ram
change the dynamic setting to always low
Connected external monitor.
Raised laptop so that the air can flow better

Can someone please help me.

When you connected the external monitor did it work with it or not?

If the external monitor didn't work either do you ever see anything at all on it?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Are you sure this laptop can run without a battery installed? I had a netbook fool me into thinking it had a monitor problem recently, but it was just an old battery that couldn't take more than a surface charge.

Have you tried shining a flashlight in at the laptop monitor. It might indicate a bad backlight if you can see something.

Do you get an orange light or green light on your external monitor?

Both not working might indicate failure in the display circuitry on the motherboard.
