check the audio output properties in the control panel, make sure it's set to speakers and not headphone.

try connecting headphones into the audio jack and check if there is volume if there is then u have trouble with ur speakers, if not reinstall ur audio drivers and post back

plenty of volume with headphones & audio drivers have been re-installed.

if volume is good through headphones then u have a problem with yr speakers and we cant fix it from here take it to a tech so he can check ur speakers

Just checking, but did you leave the plastic protective film on the power switch board? I know this is a newer model, did you just get this? Did the speakers ever work correctly?

Yes, Gretti, plastic protective film has been removed. I am going to forget it, it's ok if not too much background noise and the sound isn't used very much anyway.
