Toshiba L655 Black Screen + Wont Turn On

Specs: Windows 7
I got an L655 Toshiba Windows 7 Satellite laptop with an CMOS battery problem. I took apart the laptop to this good walkthrough and was able to get to it. I had the wrong battery so I left it in it. Note I didn't touch the battery at all. I just looked. After putting it all back together the laptop screen wont come out AT ALL. The laptop stays on for just a few seconds before it shuts itself off.

I tried taking the battery out (and charger) and holding the button for 30-35 seconds then putting just the charger back in. Then I tried it again with the battery first then the charger.

I tried shinning a light on it to see if the screen was dead and nothing along with the FN + F2. When I connect it to another.

I have been searching all day for ways on how to make it stay on but I can't find anything.

We have no idea what the original problem was that prompted you to open the laptop but my guess is you either damaged something during dis-assembly or you didn't re-assemble it correctly. We need more info.

Check the connections between the motherboard and screen, at each end.

With the computer running move the lid slowly down towards nearly closed and see if anything appears on the screen. If so the above cable is bad where it hinges.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
