Specs: Windows XP
I have removed the hard drive from my broken dell pc and want to connect it to my new pc. Are there cables that i can buy to connect it and transfer the info?
my old pc was windows xp and the new one windows 7 home.

U can use the hard drive but u can't boot from it. There are two types of IDE hard drives 1.Sata 2.Pata, which one do u have? If sata u need sata data and power cable but newer system comes with sata power cable direct from psu. If it is pata u need pata cable(80 wires).
