Specs: Windows XP
as i use the command prompt: (my drive is F:)
format F:
Invalid media or track O is bad - disk unusable..

Unfortunately if nobody else has a solution other than mine, if it gives you no option but to format the drive, thats what you must do im afriad :(

Is F a separate drive? The messages indicate a possible cure is to reinitialize the disk .You usually can't do low level operations on a partition.

What type of drive is it? What was F: being used for prior to your formatting attempt?

..it is a removable drive (FAT).. a micro sd card inserted in a memory card reader..

if i format it through my computer.. there is a dialog box saying format cannot be completed..
