i was using the computer and it suddenly switched off , and when try to switch it on the computer sounds like normal but no display on the monitor! monitor says "No signal" so the monitor is perfectly fine. need help ! can it be the ram ?
Unlikely to be the ram. Do you get any bios beep when you try to start up? Does the system have integrated graphics or a plug-in graphics card? Failing powersupply is a possibility. What are the full system specs ( including brand name/make/model)
Check your laptop's power settings. Common for them to turn off monitor after a period of inactivity as a powersaving feature. And why you would think a registry repair program ( Third party ? Freebie? Is there a link to it so we can see exactly what it is you did?) would fix a power issue is beyond my understanding.
Its a Packard bell and Got 320 hard drive and 2 gig memory , I tried switching it on today and it actually switched on normally and it asked me to start windows normally or safe mode and I chose safe mode then it was loading up and switched off suddenly.
