the colour is gone

Specs: Windows 64
only shows black and white screen. Also the captioning is gone. Went to the colour screen on TV and it says that there is colour.

The TV screen is black and white only. I cannot get the colour at all.
Also the captioning is gone. my mom is hard of earing and used to read the caption.
the TV is Hitachi and is 3 months old. I went to the menu on the TV and went to colour. It says the colour is on and the captioning also. I have pushed every button on the TV and nothing works. I have unplugged the TV and it came back the same, no colour

If the TV is 3 months old, it should be under warranty. Contact the seller/manufacturer and get it replaced or repaired.

How about posting the model/model number of the TV? When you turn it on, there should be some sort of Hitachi splash screen - is that in color? Are you using an antenna or cable? If cable, is a cable box connected to the set? If there is, did you check the cable box settings? And why are you pressing buttons on the TV rather than using the remote?
