I tried to update my Dell Optiplex BIOS. It said dont turn off the power during update.

it was 16 % completed when my I restarted my PC bcoz i felt that it was halted (my mistake). But now my PC is not showing its display. When I turn the power on , nothing shows up and the light of CPU is yellow now (it was green before).

Any ideas?

Yes, replace the motherboard or send to Dell for repair. No other choice for this kind of mistake.

You didn't follow the instructions, botched the flash & killed the motherboard. Not much you can do about it now except replace the board or possibly replace the CMOS/BIOS chip on the board.

With Dells, you are lucky. They have an option to go back to the original version of the BIOS just in case this sort of thing happens. Call Dell and they can walk you through it.

Dell got smart. Along with being able to flash the BIOS to a new version, they have a non corruptable version of the original BIOS version permanently programed in to the CMOS chip that you can revert to just in case of power failure, pebcak error, etc.
