system not sturtup and south bridege over heat

Specs: Windows XP, pIV
my system not start up, i remove all accessories from mother board and checked the mother board with a new smps (psu).when i remove RAM and turn on the system again there was no beep. i reset the CMOS battery & jumper also. and i absorve the south bridge providing lot of heat within minutes ..plz help me

What happened to original PSU?
Did u mess with CPU cooler?
when i remove RAM and turn on the system again there was no beep
Do u have on-board speaker connected?

Sounds like bad board.

i connected original psu also the psu is ok . yes i have one board speaker. i change the ram and processor also but the problem not rectified

Does it work in another system?

Are u sure both RAM and CPU u swapped are compatible with your board?
Did u clean and correct apply thermal paste?

yes the psu is working in another one. i am sure the ram and processor are compatible with that motherboard. i don't know why the south bridge lot of heat with in minutes.
