'the lap top is only a few months old '

Doesn't that alone tell you to contact the laptop tech support while it is still under warranty?

I searched the error on Google. Repeat the search if the above solution doesn't work.

Thanks for the link.
I tried their suggestion, did not work.
I will try it again, but looks like I might have to check with HP directly or take it in...

Thanks again!

'you have to open up the lap and by removing its CPU fan (Processor fan).'

GauravLad, do you actually think a novice can do that?

thanks
I do realize the fan is operating due to overheating;however, it should not be operating continuously...the lap top is only a few months old and is not used all the time. Plus, I have a lap top at work that is used a lot more and I never have this issue.
Anyway, I have also read about blowing out the fan, coolant, etc..;however, I do not know how to do that, but I will ask a friend of my sons.
I appreciate everyone's suggestions and input!
