spilled soup on my toshiba laptop

Specs: Windows 7
I spilled soup on my Toshiba L510 laptop, mainly on the left side of the keyboard, at first it made a really weird noise on the left speaker and left side of my screen has gone weird, then i turned it off, unpugged everything and try taking it apart to dry inner bits, then I tried turning it back on a couple of times, sometimes the screen works but sometimes it didnt. Now i ended up with the screen completely black out, however, there arent any weird noises anymore, it sounds completely normal as if it was working fine. Any suggestion what I can try doing? I cant afford to get it fixed as warranty has expired.

Thanks in advance.

"I cant afford to get it fixed as warranty has expired".

You shouldn't have kept turning it back on then. Sounds like you finally fried something.

Try connecting an external monitor to see if that gives you video.

Spillages on any laptops 8 out of 10 times is the kiss of death it may take 3 days or a year but will eventually will die, as moisture corrodes the components over time or fries them. black screen indicates either light in screen gone runs along bottom of screen inside, or the inverter that controls the colours ect is faulty or dead or lose wire/s check all connectors are tight, by removing them and replacing them cleans the connectors.hoping this helps.
