Specs: Windows XP, I don't know
My speakers will not play music or sounds at all they are turned on and plugged into the computer, I tested them on a mp3 player and they worked so what are you suggestions?

It's got nothing to do with the speakers. Make sure they're plugged into the correct audio port, then right click on the volume icon in the system tray & click "adjust audio properties". Make sure nothing is muted & that the sliders are set at a reasonable level.

If that doesn't do it, try re-installing your audio drivers. Can't help you with that because you didn't bother to list your system specs.

They are plugged into the correct ports and are not muted at all. Could windows not be detecting my sound card? I just got my computer wiped...
