Hi,my integrated sound card(i will call it that) died. It had problems before but now it just wont work anymore at all. So i need a new one. The problem is i need a soundcard on which i can have 3 stereo outputs or 2 and a headphone out mic in and line in at least. The problem is on my intergrated soundcard i was able to choose whatever jack to be whatever out whatever kind when set to stereo. I could have 6 stereo outs if i needed without having to set it to 5.1 or 7.1 for the outputs to work. I am using 2 amplifiers that is why i need 2 stereo outs and most soundcards do not allow reconfiguring the outputs from software. At least not the cheap ones and i dont want to pay a lot of money for something useless to me. I need some recomendations what to buy but please as cheap as possible and as best sound as possible. I simply dont have the time to do research nowdays. Thank you in advance.

Please post the make/model of your motherboard. Also, it's rare that onboard sound fails (not that it doesn't happen) so more info might be helpful. What have you tried to fix it? Did you check the BIOS settings? Uninstall & reinstall the audio driver? Install the latest driver available from the motherboard manufacturer's website?

I am using an ASRock 970 pro 3. It has a Realtek ALC892 intergrated sound processor. I tried reinstalling the drivers,i went as far as completely resetting the bios and then reianstalling the drivers again. I had a problem last year with the microphone but it got better on it's own. But not this time. This happened after i installed an apparently broken GPU to test it. My computer would'nt even boot but after a bios reset it turned back on. but the sound was gone. All i had was a hiss when upped the volume now not even that. Only a pop when the volume reaches 0. I tried everything i know of fiddleing in the bios with the settings enableing and disableing the sound but nothing worked. I am using now the HDMI sound from the GPU.

These were the simptoms but now the hissing is gone too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj_...
