Specs: Windows XP
I have a sound bar hooked up below my monitor, whenever I play music in windows media player I get sounds coming from the computer as well as the sound bar. How do I turn down all sounds coming from the computer so that just the sound bar plays noise?

The only sound that comes "from a computer" are 'beep' sounds for error feedback.
All other sounds come from your external computer speakers via the sound adapter.

Just unplug the speakers that you don't want sound to come from.

This is a new Dell Optiplex 990, I believe it has integrated speakers on the inside of the computer. Is there a way I could manually unplug those speakers nested inside the machine?

the integrated speaker on the inside is a motherboard speaker used to diagnose computer troubles, unless Dell has decided to introduce a new speaker system
u can mute these speakers and set ur sound bar as default device
just go to control panel sounds and playback devices disable the speakers and set the sound bar to defaults

computers are a second home
