Specs: Windows 98
Trying to find driver for Sony PCGA-CD51 CDROM for Windows 98 on ThinkPad 240X in order to read the Recovery CDs and the Software Selections CD. Need to see what's there before attempting upgrade to Windows XP. All online sources have drivers for only the later Windows versions.

There's no point in even considering XP on that system. The max amount of RAM the 240X supports is 192MB. That's not enough memory for XP...it will run like sh!t.

Thanks for your prompt and concise reply. Maybe Win2000
will work OK. In any case I need to be able to examine those CDs.

You can view the contents of the cds on any cdrom with any OS, even dos. Surely you have a working PC with a cdrom.

You're not really green until you're soylent green.
