What version are you trying to install and what version do you currently have installed, if any?

You should post your system specs or the full model of your computer.

I am not trying to do any instalations with the system, my problem started when I tried to install a new anti virus. The windows installer is corrupt, I thought by doing the sfc scan will repair any currpted file.

And which anti-virus are you installing? If it's Norton or McAfee, don't do it!
