Solved Some keys on my Lenovo laptop don't work

Specs: Windows 7
as others have experienced, with the exact same keys, the t, y, backspace and shift keys are no longer working on m lenovo laptop. can anyone help?

This is almost certainly a hardware fault. It could be as simple as a ribbon connector that needs reseating, or it may mean a new keyboard.

I agree with #1 but you could try a USB keyboard to prove the point.

thank you so much! is that something I could do myself...or would i need to take i into a shop? (and I don't have a USB keyboard, unfortunately). i've seen a lot of other people have had the same problem with the same keys bu haven't come across a definitive answer. I really appreciate the help, guys, thanks again!

If its "your sort of thing" yes. You might find a YouTube video about dismantling. I saw some but don't have the model number to see if there is anything about your Lenovo in particular.
