i have a nvidia geforce4 mx 4000 about 6 months ago i started getting signal out of range when i try to play games so i reinstall the drivers then it works fine as long as i dont have to reboot for any reason every time i reboot i have to reinstall drivers
Have you tried to completely uninstall the drivers before installing the new ones? 1) uninstall all drivers
2) reboot machine
3) install latest drivers
The "geforce4 mx 4000" is not much of a gaming card (& never was). In fact, it's not even a true Geforce4. It's actually a rebadged GF4 MX420 which in itself is a rebadged Geforce2, which means it's based on 10 yr old technology. Notice that it only supports up to DX7. http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards...
Other than that, "signal out of range" generally means you have the monitor resolution set incorrectly. The resolution should be set to the native resolution of your monitor & should not be changed. Any other changes should be made within the individual game settings.
