This is a dell optiflex 745 running windows 7. The computer recently had a hard drive fan failure message displayed and the computer would shut down at startup as soon as it got to the splash screen. The computer ran fine in safe mode (still does). The computer has 3 fans, two on the top and then one flat one under the hard drive. The one under the hard drive was not woking. I tried giving it a good blow out but no luck. I replaced the fan under the hard drive. It is now working fine. The computer now boots up with no errors, but shuts down right as the desk stop is displayed. It still boots up and runs fine in safe mode.
Any assistance ould be greatly appreciated
I think something has happen to one of your drivers. My guess would be the video driver but I would start with the chipset then the video, nic, audio. If that doesn't seem feasible do a driver roll back starting with the video.
