shaky monitor display

Viewsonic Va1912wb 19

Specs: Windows XP, AMD 64x2 Dual/4gig
My Viewsonic VA1912W monitor display has suddenly started to flicker. I have moved all speakers and subwoofers at least 3 feet away, disconnected a halogen lamp, tried adjusting the display in settings all to no avail.

The computer is situated in an kitchen extension which has a couple of fridge freezers in it and a washing machine. However if I turn everything off it makes no difference to the shaky screen. It is not a surge protector.

It was fine when I first connected the monitor, this problem has only started after about three months.

Components have probably heated and deteriorated. Could be the raster timing circuit is not operating correctly, causing the flicker or shakey image.
Try a lower resolution and reduce the display frequency. It may help.

I have the same monitor and started noticing the pixels wiggling (can't describe it any better) after I upgraded to win 7.

I changed the Monitor OSD Menu -> Manual Image Adjust -> Fine Tune and it fixed the problem with the slider halfway.

Hope it works for you too.
