If both monitors were working just prior to the move, then I would guess you don't have them connected the same way they were.

I've switched them around and both monitors are connected, but it just switches which side goes on, so both monitor are working,,, but, the UB port for the second monitor is not being recognized by the computer? I tried the following and it still does not work:

How should USB drivers be reinstalled for ports that are not working?

So which is it? Are both working or not? If one requires USB for a webcam or a USB hub that is something different. Working to me, means that you are seeing video.

OK - when I switch the cables from one monitor to the other, I can see that both monitors work. Since there is only one HDMI connection for the computerm the other monitor has an adapter with a UB connection end to it. For some reason it is not recognizing this adapter. It was set up in the other room and worked fine, but since the move it no longer wants to recoognize the second monitor. It lights up, but in clone mode both monitors should be showing the same information. One does while the other one is black with no information showing up? Could it be coincidental that the adapter no longer works?

So, you are using some sort of splitter to send the signal to both monitors?

No splitter - guess you didn't understand. Anyhow... I got it to work. I reloaded the adapters driver and now it works.
