Solved Seagate eSATA HDD undetectable after XP reinstallation

March 3, 2014 at 21:54:17
Specs: XP SP3
Recently reinstalled XP on my main hard drive. My external 1T NTFS HD was connected via SATA, not USB. After I finished, the External HD is only recognizable in device manager when plugged into USB and neither SATA nor USB gives me access to the external HD.

SATA is for internal drives.

If it's an eSATA drive, you need to connect it to external eSATA port.
