Specs: Windows 7 32 bit, Phenom X3 720 BE 2.8GHz - KVR (2x) 2Gb 800MHz
I can't write nor delete info of any SD card I put in the reader. I can see, use and copy it but nothing else. It wont let me even format the SD cards.

MoBo uses USB 2.0

It sounds like the cards are write-protected. This may help:

With my cell phone, if I remove the micro SD card and put it in a card reader to copy off pictures, the OS will treat the card as if it's write protected--can't add or delete files. But when it's in the phone it'll function properly. It wouldn't surprise me if that was typically the way cameras and phones set up their cards.

Well thanks! I think I'm gonna need to open the card reader device in order to "try" to fix it. The adapter works fine in other computers.

Very useful info!

I wouldn't think it was the adapter--more likely the card. But if you could write to the same card and adapter with another PC then I guess that's not it. Must be some way the OS is treating that hardware.
