Since you've used the recovery disk to restore the machine, you need to reinstall the drivers for your notebook. Did you get a disk with the machine that would be labeled drivers. If you have it, put it in the cd tray and follow the instruction to reinstall the drivers, for your video, chipset drivers for the Mobo etc.

Ok, the drivers may be on that disk. Put it in the tray and see if you have a folder called drivers on the disk. If it auto runs cancel the operation and open my computer, right click on the dvd icon and select explore. See if it's listed.

Or go to device manager and install drivers from there. Or u can go to laptop manufacture website and download drivers from there.

Like Kuwese said, you can try to update the drivers form Device Manager. Right click My Computer and select Properties. Click Hardware tab and choose Device Manager. If you see a yellow exclamation mark next to any devices, right click the device and select update drivers. His second suggestion would seem the most likely solution. Go to the website and download the drivers for your video adapter.

Advent 4211B Netbook
Lots of Info
http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/...

Excerpt:

"Drivers

Your netbook should have a backup copy of all the drivers, you can find it by browsing to the c:\applications\drivers folder. If this folder is missing then you can download most of them from The Tech Guys website.

I'm fairly certain that the 4211 is a rebadged MSI Wind U100 (it should have this printed on the underside of the netbook). If this is correct then you can also get the drivers, along with the user manual, from the MSI Europe website. "

The highlighted "MSI Europe" is a link to...

NOTE: your Advent 4211b MAY have an Advent bios version. In that case it is NOT advisable to use a MSI bios update on it!
