Okay so i need help real bad fixing my brothers computer

I tried to install Rome: Total War on my brothers Alien ware, while surfing, On the third disk of RTR computer freezes, and after 5 min reboots itself, everything runs fine (I only tried surfing web which i could) go to check RTR and i cant play it, or uninstall it. So i was gonna system restore to before it was installed so i could install it completely, system restore go and stuff restarts and loads up to a black screen with the cursor that i can move, but nothing else works.

CTR,Alt,Del does nothing

have restarted a couple times, and a few of those times i can choose between safe mode and other modes, upon choosing safe mode get the same black screen but the cursor is larger like safe mode distortion is on desktop.

sometimes when i turn on computer i hear one beep,

but recently upon turning it on it IMMEDIATELY goes to black screen with movable cursor, no boot time or anything just straight to black screen.

please please help!!!

I would have suggested 'Last Known Good Configuration' instead of safe mode, this often helps. The beep is an indication of a hardware issue typically, possibly hard drive or memory, BUT look up your beep code based on your BIOS:
and see if you get a clue there.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thanks for replying!

but all the times that ive booted up and actually able to get to a screen to choose between modes, i never saw "last good configuration"
only 3 types of safe mode, and run windows normally

i did get up alienrespawn and from there tried to do a system restore to a far back date, but it keeps freezing!!

i think ill just have to battle back to alienrespawn and from there reset computer back to factory settings :(
