screen display off centre

Specs: Windows Vista
My screen display has been working fine when suddenly reboot to get access to the internet and the screen on my main monitor is off centre. I have a space on the left hand side which pushes the screen out of vision. I have tried changing the resolution, rebooting, closing down the 2nd monitor and rebooting but to no avail - the screen is still off centre.

Vista (Service Pack 2)
Monitor settings 1440 x 900
NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)" duo CPU E4500
Can't find a solution or how to fix this. Can anyone help please?

Check the onscreen menu for your monitor. My Ilyama has an "Auto Adjust" option to fix such problems.

I think every monitor have "Auto Adjust" option.

Thank you! I didn't quite know where to find this but for other novices like me it is one of the set of buttons on the bottom or side of your screen!

Impressed by your quick response to my dilema, thank you onece again.
