School computer hangs at desktop?

Ok, at school, the resource room has 3 computers, one of them for some reason stopped logging on to the school server properly. I want to try and fix it for them, but I can't figure out the problem. When you log in, it logs in as normal, but when it goes to the desktop it just hangs, it doesn't say loading your personal settings or anything. Can I fix it or does the school need a new computer?

Your school doesn't have an IT person who works on PCs?

"Can I fix it or does the school need a new computer?"

It can be fixed but we don't know if YOU can do it or not. Do you have Admin rights?

OK, someone does. Did an outside vendor set up the system for the school district?

Someone is responsible for the system and if that someone doesn't work for the school district then the district has surely contracted someone to take care of it.

You need to find out...maybe they'll let you sit in on the repairs.

Someone is supposedly coming in to fix it, thanks for the help. I'll see if I can watch them fix what the problem was for future reference.
