Well screen savers also make the monitor use power. What you can do is switch the monitor off. If you have more then 1 hard drive then set the settings for the rest which are not in use to go to sleep when inactive for a certain period of time. You can do this by going into the Power Saver option in Windows and this is all that you can do.
