sandisk crashed the PC Vista when inserted

Specs: Windows Vista
inserting the SanDisk card crashed the pc running Vista (desktop) and the pc stalled trying to shutdown, went into recovery mode after we forced a re-boot, blah blah, wife freakingouttrying to blamethehusband

So.... what is your question here? What was on the memorystick? Was this a USB stick or an SD card? Did the system recover? Have you run virus & Malware scans?

It's a mini SD card from her Canon Power Shot S-51S, as soon as she placed the card in the PC drive slot, well, it wasn't pretty, we are assuming something wrong with slot or the minicard?

OK Have you removed the card from the reader slot? Did the system re-start normally after that? Have you tried the card back in the camera? Has the cardreader been used successfully before with other mini SD cards?

The PC and camera are working normally after the card was returned to the camera, now I am looking for another card to try... good suggestion that.
