My friend has recently bought Samsung NP300E5A laptop. It worked perfectly until yesterday. He turned it off properly. When we tried to turn it up power button shined and the power indicator was on but hdd indicator lamp was off and the screen hasn't turned on.Whatever we tried to do the screen didn't show any picture. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem cause it's new laptop and is it worth repairing?

New laptops are covered by manufacturer's warranty usually for 12 months. Contact Samsung and arrange for it to be returned to have the problem fixed. Repair is free but you may have to pay for postage to them.

If you try to fix it yourself and Samsung can see that evidence of that, they will not repair it under warranty which means you'll get charged for repair.

Good advice at #1. The fact that you never ever see anything on the screen means that it has to be a hardware fault so there is nothing you can do from the outside. There are various possible causes for the given symptoms.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
