Hey, my computer case came with 5 mounting screws standard, but my motherboard has 6 spots to screw in, is it safe to only screw in the 5? it is the 6/22 inch ones, not the common 2.5 ones. Case is the Azza Solano 1000

Only ONE of the screws is used for grounding purposes. You definitely need that one installed to a standoff. I assume your case requires metal standoffs?

Look for a circle of solder around the mounting hole. If you don't have enough screws, at least make sure you install standoffs under every mounting hole. Leave the missing screw out of one of the middle holes and you should be OK.

The problem with a missing standoff is that inserting expansion cards or RAM can flex the board and possibly cause damage.

I take it you don't have any spare standoffs and screws? Keep in mind there are different length standoffs too. Most are the same but there are some cases that for whatever reason use shorter ones. Nylon spacers will work too, if you have them.

The purpose of the standoffs is to keep the board from shorting out on the case. Flexing when inserting stuff is what you need to be concerned with. If you can deal with that then you should be OK with one missing. If you are not using any expansion PCI cards you could leave out one at the bottom.

i do actually, the guy at the store gave me a 2.5 mm gold one, the ones this case uses is 6/32 he said.

So theoretically could i have 5 of the 6/32 mounts + screws and 1 of the 2.5 mm mounts/matching screw?

(i would just have to drive back to the store and get the matching screw)

EDIT: Also from what i can tell the one is the same length as the 5 ones

The screw is not as important as the standoff. As I stated above. Be sure to have a standoff and screw in the grounding hole.
