Solved Safe Mode without F8 or Esc?

May 29, 2017 at 21:20:35
Specs: Windows
My friend has an hp 2000-2b19wm 15.6-inch laptop pc. It has crashed and now when you turn it on it will flash to hit esc to enter setup mode. Then flash to a black screen and keep flashing until it crashes and starts all over again. When the setup mode message appears, I have tried pressing F8 and Esc with no luck on getting into Safe Mode. Is there any other way to reset the laptop?

How to use a Lazesoft Windows Recovery CD or USB device to fix the boot problems if your Windows operating system does not start correctly.
"It is very common for PC users to be faced with a Windows crash. When this happens, the dreaded 'Blue Screen of Death' pops up, or your PC has a black screen and can not boot or start up"

Hi Koda,

try continually tapping the F8 key from Switch On.
You may have to try a number of times before it works.

Which version of Windows OS is in use?

Please advise back on progress.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

If the laptop has Win8 or newer, the F8 key will not take you to Safe Mode. Follow the instructions on the screen. Make sure the laptop is connected to the AC adapter, reboot & immediately begin tapping the Esc key. If you want to enter BIOS setup, press F10 after tapping Esc.
