Specs: Windows 7
I have a Dell S2409W 24" Flat Panel. That use connected to my corporate laptop when I am home. My new laptop support 1600 X 900 and the monitor sets at 1920 X 1080. This makes some fonts hard to read. Is there a monitor driver that can use to scale back the resolution?

✔ Best Answer
The native resolution for the Dell S2409W is 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz. Anything else is less than optimal.

If you want 1600 x 900, all you have to do is change the setting. Right click anywhere on the desktop & click "screen resolution", then change it to 1600 x 900. If it's not one of the options, click Advanced settings, then click List All Modes & see if it's listed there.

You can also try increasing the DPI setting to 125% rather than downgrading the screen resolution:

Always use native resolution.
