Do u have the right replacement? I think it is better to purchase portable usb webcam.

You know the real meaning of peace only if you have been through the war.

Hi Zelene,

you have not advised the make and model of your laptop, which would help greatly as my crystal ball is on holiday today.

I would first check on ebay (or ?) to see if a spare cam is available.

Then google for instructions (maybe a video) on how to fit.

Would think Kuwese's suggestion of replacing with a usb webcam is a far easier and cheaper option.

Please advise back what you decide.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

Hi Zelene,

I think you have made the correct decision.

If applicable, remember to install the driver before connecting the usb device.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.
