Specs: Win Xp Sp3, P4 3.0ghz / 1gb ddr 400
I want to replace the backlight of this(samsung syncmaster 570s tft) 6 years old monitor because of red tint. My question is do i have to get the same backlight or any 15 inch monitor backlight will fit? Is it worth to replace the backlight? I bought this monitor in 2009 for $100 (second hand) back then i didn't know the monitor has backlight issue(it will cost me alot if i buy new one but if new one is the only option i will do it).

Probably it is not the backlight. The backlight usually gets dimmer and I think gets yellowish. A new LCD monitor starts at $100 a TV with video input at about $170.

I can make red tint disappear but it also remove brightness. If it's not backlight then what's wrong?
Iam playing batman akram asylum but everytime i have to use detective m ode to see well. I can adjust color thru nVidia control panel but it's doesn't give good results.

It appears that the drive currents are unbalanced. The other colors are weaker, I'm afraid it needs repair. Unless you can find a low cost (or free) estimate, plan to look for a replacement.
