Repairing a File with Getdataback?

January 6, 2011 at 09:59:36
Specs: Windows 7
I have used GetDataBack NTFS to recoverd some files from a drive. A lot of the files just don't show up in the preview or won't play. I'm ok with losing most of the data but there is a video file I created that is on there and its the only file I really need but it doesn't work. Is there any way to repair it?

Are you trying to play the video from within getdataback or is this after you copied the file to another location?

What is the reason for using Get Data Back in the first place?

You may be able to repair a corrupted partition, if that is the problem.

Its after I copied it to another location. I used getdataback because it was the only program I actually had that wasn't a demo. If there is another way to perhaps repair the partition? I would greatly appreciate the advice.

Try repairing a partition by using testdisk. Get testdisk at the link below. Be sure to read all the help files before using for best results.
