Remove bios battery wait for a minute or so then replace.

A BIOS password cannot be removed from most laptops by removing the CMOS battery. Contact Toshiba and be prepared to prove ownership.

removing the BIOS battery is absolutely not going to remove a hard drive password.

Ah i was confused by the title. either it is a bios pasword you wish to remove or a hard drive password. TX 1138 is correct removing the BIOS battery will not remove the password on a hard drive.

either way your title and 'question' confuse me

sajeevsarayu, save yourself some time...just ask the rightful owner for the password...that's really simple!
