Does the computer boot up and work OK besides the LED going out? I don't think I've ever noticed if the LED stays on when the computer is powered up but if everything is working OK I wouldn't worry about it.

Here's your motherboard manual: http://www.ieiworld.com/files/file_...

"I have installed a new power supply"

Please post the make/model & specs of both the old & new PSUs.

No the system is dead. We have 2 motherboards and 2 power supplies with the same problem. Checked for shorts and none was found.

If the PSU has a 115/230 voltage switch make sure it's in the correct position. Don't guess and if it needs to be changed make sure the A/C power cord is removed.

Yeah it sounds like a short or at least something is sucking too much amperage when you turn it on. With the power cord removed temporarily disconnect all the drives, USB drives and add-on cards that aren't needed for boot up. Then reconnect the power cord and see if it boots.

As already asked, post back info on the power supplies.
