ok the first time this happened it started with
my graphics would mess up with little flashing
lines and stuff I would reset and fine then it
would randomly reboot and flash a blue screen
message that I can't read until eventually I
couldn't even get it to boot period. Since then I
replaced the motherboard and case upgraded
the ram changed the videocard (equal value
medium grade vid card) and the op system I
upgraded from xp to 7 it worked fine its been
like 4 months and it has started again the
graphics have messed up and it has rebooted with a flashed blue screen once now I think its a virus my boyfriend thinks my video card overheats what
is it?
Sounds to me like it's your hard drive. If I were you I would back up all of my important data, and contact the computer manufacturer to see if you can get a new hard drive out of warranty. From my experience and from what I've read, what you're experiencing is a sign that the hard drive is failing. Unfortunately, it will most likely continue getting worse until it's unusable.
You can try running a tool that will check your hard drive for you, such as SeaTools:
http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/su...
Or you can check to see what brand of hard drive you have and check their website to see if there is a tool more specific to your drive.
Hope this helps.
